Man Stabbed, Another Shot With Taser After Dispute: Police

An argument between two people in Silver Spring ended with one man stabbed in the arm and another facing charges.

SILVER SPRING, MD — An overnight argument that broke out between two men on Thursday ended with one man stabbed and another shot by a Taser.

Montgomery County Police said officials were called to the 12500 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring at 1:45 a.m. for a report of a man stabbed in the arm.

Both police and first responders with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to the area.

The injured man was later hospitalized and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The second individual, however, was shot with a Taser while resisting arrest.

Police told DC News Now that the stabbing took place after the two men got into an argument. Both had been intoxicated.

The second man was treated at the hospital before being transferred to the Central Processing Unit. He is facing first-degree assault charges, WJLA reported.

Police have not publicly identified either man involved in the incident.
