A running store in Baltimore County ranked high in a list of the friendliest businesses across the nation, according to a report.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Charm City Run was voted as having one of the friendliest staff across the nation in a new survey, according to Nottingham MD.

The report found that in a list of 150 small businesses, the running store based at 1313 York Road in Lutherville-Timonium ranked 38th for its community approach to retail.

"The highest-scoring businesses tend to operate in environments where staff can slow down, engage, and build rapport," the survey found.

"The geographic spread shows that warmth isn’t a regional stereotype. Yes, the Midwest and Mountain states stand out, but major metros compete strongly when independents maintain a neighborhood feel."

The findings were based on an analysis of 3,104 consumer responses that were cross-referenced with Google review scores.
