Blakehurst Welcomes Renee D. Garvin as Executive Director of Blakehurst Senior Living Community in Towson

Blakehurst, the premier Life Plan Community in Towson, MD, managed by Life Care Services®, is pleased to announce the appointment of Renee D. Garvin as its new Executive Director.

Garvin brings more than three decades of leadership experience in senior living and healthcare to Blakehurst, where she will oversee the community's continued commitment to exceptional service, resident well-being, and operational excellence.

Throughout her career, Garvin has earned a reputation as a collaborative and compassionate leader with a strategic approach to community operations, financial stewardship, and organizational growth. She most recently served as Executive Director of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD. Prior to that, she led luxury Life Plan Communities in Florida and Illinois, guiding organizations through major renovations, campus expansions, culture transformations, and periods of significant growth while maintaining outstanding resident and employee satisfaction.

Garvin's career reflects a lifelong commitment to aging services. Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, she initially considered becoming a nurse before discovering that her passion for improving healthcare organizations was best served through administration and leadership. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration before completing both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Health, then spent 14 years working within a large integrated health system that included a hospital, senior living communities, and home health services.

As Executive Director, Garvin will lead Blakehurst's dedicated team in continuing to provide the exceptional lifestyle residents have come to expect.
