Those still digging out from the snow might as well keep going because there are no melting temperatures for nearly a week, as bitterly cold air drains in after the storm.
Tuesday is sunny and cold with a high of 22 degrees and wind chills near zero, according to the National Weather Service.
The same story will play out for the next several days with highs in the 20s, overnight lows near zero and wind chills below zero each day and night.
The coldest day of the stretch is forecast for Friday with a high of 19 degrees and a west wind of 20 mph, making it feel well below zero.
There is a potential next storm on the horizon for Sunday, with the track determining whether it is a glancing blow or another powerful storm. If it does hit, this storm would bring more traditional nor'easter conditions of coastal erosion, flooding and wind damage that were lacking in the most recent dumping of snow.
