Amherst Will Celelbrate Pride Month with Parade on June 28 (amherstindy.org) ā Amherst is gearing up for a Pride parade, rally, and resource fair on Sunday, June 28, starting at Amherst Regional High School and ending at the Town Common. Residents can march, table, or cheer along the oneāmile route, with clear guidance on parking, lineup times, safety expectations, and how volunteers and police will keep the celebration welcoming and orderly.

ARHS Grad Earns Prestigious Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship (amherstindy.org) ā An Amherst Regional High School graduate, Ajmain Sharar, has earned a coveted Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship, one of just five awarded in Massachusetts. The award provides up to $40,000 for his engineering studies at the University of Michigan plus a paid Amazon internship, and district leaders say his success showcases both his hard work and the strength of AmherstāPelham schools. 3. āAlmost impossible in a classroom': students seek hands-on forensic experience at UMass Amherst (westernmassnews.com) ā At UMass Amherst, a sixāweek summer field school is giving a dozen students rare, handsāon training in bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology using realistic but plastic remains. Participants split time between intensive classroom osteology work and outdoor excavation practice at the taphonomy lab, building skills they can take into graduate programs, archaeology firms, and future forensic investigations. Agricultural leaders unite at NEASDA meeting in Amherst (wwlp.com) ā Amherst hosted this yearās Northeast Association of State Departments of Agriculture meeting, drawing more than 160 agricultural leaders and international delegates to the Pioneer Valley.
