Andover Fire Crews Knock Down Blaze Atop Pfizer Facility Roof

The Andover Fire Department said the fire was knocked down quickly and that there were no reported injuries.

ANDOVER, MA — A roof fire at the Pfizer building on Burtt Road in Andover was extinguished before spreading to other parts of the facility on Wednesday.

The Andover Fire Department said crews responded to reports of smoke odor late Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived, they found the smoke coming from the roof of the building.

"Our firefighters initiated an aggressive attack, stretching hose lines to both the exterior and interior of the building," Andover fire said. "The fire was knocked down quickly. Due to the actions of our firefighters, the fire did not extend to any other parts of the building."

The Andover Fire Department said there were no reported injuries from the smoke.
