The Hidden Parlor Society announces the anticipated August 2026 opening of The Hidden Parlor, a dedicated American Mahjong parlor created for open play, leagues, guided sessions, curated events, and connection around the table.
The Hidden Parlor will offer reserved tables, regular operating hours, concierge service, and thoughtful programming for players at a range of experience levels. A curated selection of Mahjong goods, gifts, and accessories will also be available.
&ldquo;American Mahjong has a way of bringing people together,&rdquo; said Heather Forrest Gagnon, Founding General Manager of The Hidden Parlor Society. &ldquo;The Hidden Parlor is being thoughtfully created as a place to gather, connect, and enjoy the game in a beautiful setting. We look forward to welcoming players from Andover and throughout New England.&rdquo;
The Hidden Parlor recognizes Mahjong&rsquo;s origins in China and the generations of players, including Jewish American communities, who helped shape American Mahjong as it is played today.
The Hidden Parlor will partner with local American Mahjong instructors to offer introductory sessions, guided play, leagues, and special programming.
Since opening its waitlist, The Hidden Parlor has attracted interest from players across Massachusetts and throughout New England.
Annual access is available through four tiers: South, West, North, and East, each reflecting a different level of engagement.

Our office sits at 1215 Main Street in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, near the New Hampshire line, which makes us an easy drive for clients across the tri-state area.

So we work by appointment, never as a crowded walk-in counter. You book a slot, your time is reserved and you walk straight in with no line. Most captures take about fifteen minutes in the chair.
Our services cover what local clients need. FBI background checks for immigration, adoption, licensing and personal review. Live scan for agencies and licenses that accept electronic submission. FD-258 ink cards for out-of-state and overseas agencies that require a physical card. We also provide a connection to apostille services for documents going abroad. We serve healthcare workers, teachers, childcare staff and volunteers, financial professionals, immigration applicants, adoptive families and anyone an employer or board has sent for prints.
A certified fingerprint technician handles your capture from start to finish. Every set is rolled by hand and graded against the FBI standard. A weak finger is re-rolled on the spot. That care is the difference between a single visit and a rejection that sends you back. Our technician is also a commissioned Massachusetts notary public, so you work with a credentialed professional who answers your questions.
We are honest about how we serve each area. Our office is in Tewksbury. Clients from Nashua, Manchester, Lowell, Lawrence, Andover and Dracut drive in for a clean capture. For Rhode Island and farther New Hampshire clients, much of our work, including FBI checks and ink cards, is handled by mail, so distance rarely matters. For businesses and groups, we bring the service on-site and print everyone in one visit.
Our pricing is posted in plain numbers. The FBI background check service fee is $125, live scan is $65 and an FD-258 ink card is $49.95, with each additional card $25. A service fee covers our work. The agency sets any government fee and tells you before we begin. No surprises at the counter.
