Andover Schools Hire New Superintendent
The schools have hired an educational administrator with over 17 years of experience in public education.
ANDOVER, MA — The School Committee has announced that Keith Taverna has been named the next superintendent of Andover Public Schools.
Taverna has served as interim superintendent since February. Dr. Magda Parvey previously served as superintendent.
Taverna "brings more than 17 years of experience in public education and a demonstrated commitment to student achievement and community engagement," according to a district statement.

He joined the Andover school system in 2022 as superintendent of Finance and Administration.
Taverna's hire comes following a search process that began early this year and attracted 36 candidates.

Taverna is expected to start in his new role July 1.
