AI-Powered Food Market Opens In Arlington
The process is designed to allow customers to tap a credit card, open the door, select their food, and leave.
ARLINGTON, MA — A new food market with automated checkout has opened in Arlington.
"Fresh & Go!", operated by Arsenal Catering Group, is located at 325 Broadway in Arlington Center. The business announced the opening as its first 24/7 location, offering breakfast sandwiches, wraps, sandwiches, and protein yogurt.
Fresh & Go uses refrigerated smart coolers designed to allow customers to tap a credit card, open the door, select their food, and leave. According to the company, the system uses artificial intelligence to identify the items customers take and process their purchases without a cashier. Food is prepared daily at Arsenal Catering Group’s commercial kitchen in Cambridge.
