Arlington Man Facing Felony Charge In Stolen Check Case: Report

ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington man is facing a felony theft charge in New Hampshire following an investigation into an altered check stolen from a local business, according to a report from YourArlington.

Donald Quinn, 48, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 7, after being extradited from Massachusetts to New Hampshire and charged with Class A felony theft by unauthorized taking.

The investigation began in April when Hudson police responded to Reeds Ferry Sheds for a report of a stolen check. Police said a company check left overnight in the business mailbox was stolen and altered.

The altered check was later presented at a bank in Haverhill, where a man later identified as Quinn attempted to cash it, according to authorities. Hudson police worked with the Haverhill Police Department to obtain surveillance photos from the bank.

Quinn was released on personal recognizance bail following his extradition and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Nashua District Court.
