• Arlington Hopes To Be Next Town To Get MBTA Train Extension (iheart.com) — Arlington officials and residents are backing an effort to repeal a 1980 state law that blocks any Red Line extension deeper into town, hoping to ease traffic and shorten commutes. Local barbershop customers and three state lawmakers say a new stop past Alewife could better serve Arlington's growing population and heavy congestion.
