• Orange Line will be suspended between Forest Hills and Back Bay for five days, Sept. 10 – 14 (reverejournal.com) — Orange Line service between Forest Hills and Back Bay will shut down September 10–14, with free shuttle buses and fare-free commuter rail trips offered between Forest Hills, Ruggles, Back Bay, and South Station. Back Bay riders should plan for at least 30 extra minutes when using shuttles as crews tackle major station, track, and signal upgrades along the corridor.

• Fire activity near Ruggles disrupts multiple Commuter Rail lines (wcvb.com) — Commuter rail riders in Back Bay faced delays Wednesday after fire department activity near Ruggles forced at least one Franklin Line train to skip both Ruggles and Back Bay stations. Passengers bound for Back Bay were told to use the Orange Line instead, and a Needham Line train leaving South Station ran up to 25 minutes late while officials investigated.
