• Man known for eluding law enforcement caught after swimming across river, police say (lawandcrime.com) — Bellingham and Franklin police worked together this week to arrest a man they say repeatedly fled traffic stops, ending a dramatic chase that crossed town lines and even a river. Officers say the suspect initially escaped after a pursuit that damaged mailboxes and drew drones and K-9 units, but he was later found in Franklin and brought to Bellingham for processing.
