2 Apprehended After Man Shot In Boston

An intense scooter chase ended in two arrests.

BOSTON, MA — A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Roxbury Wednesday night, according to the Boston Police Department.

Police responded to the intersection of Dudley and Washington streets at approximately 8 p.m. for an initial report of shots fired that was subsequently upgraded to a person shot. Boston police told Patch that officers located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The shooting occurred near the Nubian Square MBTA station. Two suspects reportedly fled the area on a scooter before they were apprehended a short time later. During the incident, one of the suspects struck a Boston police cruiser while fleeing on the scooter. A firearm was also recovered.

Police have not released the identities of the two suspects or announced any charges in connection with the shooting. Additional information about the victim has not yet been revealed.
