2nd Person Sentenced In Boston Fentanyl Trafficking Case
The pair reportedly sold more than 280 grams of fentanyl throughout 2025.
BOSTON, MA — A man was sentenced to federal prison for his role in a fentanyl trafficking conspiracy involving controlled drug purchases in Brookline and Boston, according to the United States Attorney’s Office District of Massachusetts.
Kerry Charlotin, 36, of Rockland, also known as “KG,” was sentenced on Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin to 88 months in prison, followed by four years of supervised release. Charlotin pleaded guilty in July to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl after being arrested and charged alongside co-conspirator Shaquylle Burden in December 2025.
An investigation into the pair’s drug trafficking activities began in June 2025. According to federal authorities, investigators found that Charlotin and Burden were actively distributing fentanyl and other controlled substances in the greater Boston area.

Throughout 2025, Charlotin coordinated with Burden and repeatedly met with a federal cooperating witness to sell fentanyl. The pair sold more than 280 grams of fentanyl, along with other controlled substances, during the investigation.
Investigators executed search warrants in December 2025 at multiple Massachusetts residences and searched Charlotin after he was located and arrested in South Carolina.

The searches resulted in the recovery of additional crack cocaine, a loaded 9mm pistol, and approximately 131.5 grams of cocaine, according to prosecutors. The cocaine was packaged in plastic bags that someone had unsuccessfully attempted to flush down a toilet. Authorities also recovered a firearm from Burden’s Roslindale residence when he was arrested.
Charlotin was serving a term of supervised release at the time of the offenses following a prior federal conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He had previously served five years in federal prison for that offense.
Burden, 32, of Roslindale, pleaded guilty in July to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. He was sentenced on Oct. 19 to five years in prison, followed by four years of supervised release.
