Arrest Made In Fatal Hyde Park Shooting
The identity of the victim who was killed has also been released.
BOSTON, MA — A man has been charged in connection with a Hyde Park shooting that left one person dead and four others injured earlier this week, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Oliver Derima, 27, of Randolph, was charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition in connection with the shooting. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in West Roxbury Boston Municipal Court. Prosecutors intend to request that Derima be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
Boston police responded to the area of 1184 Hyde Park Ave. at approximately 12:38 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of a shooting. Officers found five adults suffering from gunshot wounds and transported all five victims to local hospitals. One of the victims, Ky Mani Korey Reynolds, 26, of Dorchester, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden credited Boston police homicide detectives and prosecutors with quickly identifying and arresting the suspect, calling the investigation "exceptional work" while offering condolences to Reynolds' family and the four surviving victims.
Police said the department's Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
