Police Investigating Fatal Shooting At Boston Gas Station
The customer was shot in broad daylight while inside the Hyde Park business.
BOSTON, MA — A man was killed in a shooting inside a Hyde Park gas station Wednesday afternoon, according to the Boston Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 5:09 p.m. to the Akiki gas station at 1171 Hyde Park Ave. for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound inside the business.
The victim, who was a customer at the gas station, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released his identity.

Investigators remained at the gas station Wednesday evening while officers searched the surrounding neighborhood for evidence and witnesses. Police also maintained a presence near a home on Central Avenue, approximately a quarter-mile from the gas station.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area as part of the investigation. No arrests have been announced. Police have not released a description of the suspected shooter or additional information about what led up to the shooting.

The Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact homicide detectives at 617-343-4470.
