ā¢ Brewster Completes Town-wide Historic Inventory; More Than 300 Old Houses Surveyed (capecodchronicle.com) ā Brewster has finished a years-long survey of more than 300 historic homes, and you can now explore the detailed āForm Bā house histories at the Brewster Ladiesā Library or online via MACRIS. The project, funded with CPA money, deepens understanding of Brewsterās oldest properties and is complemented by local oral histories that bring longtime residentsā memories into the record.

ā¢ Brewster Trust To Fundraise For Ellis Property Acquisition (capecodchronicle.com) ā Brewster is working with the Brewster Conservation Trust to close a funding gap for purchasing the Ellis property, a key two-acre link between major protected woodlands in town. If the deal closes, residents could see expanded hiking trails, better stormwater treatment on Besse Cartway, and added protection for local drinking water in the Herring River watershed. Ā Ā Ā
ā¢ Neighbors Fund helps Brewster woman pay bills, adjust to one income (capecodtimes.com) ā A Brewster woman suddenly facing divorce and a one-income household was able to keep her housing and utilities stable thanks to the Cape Cod Times Neighbors Fund. The long-running charity offers voucher-based emergency help with rent, heat, medical bills, and other essentials, and is highlighting local stories during its summer appeal to encourage community donations.
