• Brockton school helps students earn college credits early (enterprisenews.com) — Families in Brockton can now see how New Heights Charter Public School's early college model lets students start earning free, transferable college credits as early as ninth grade. The Brockton-based charter school, serving grades 6–12, partners with Massasoit Community College and Bridgewater State University, with many students graduating high school already holding more than a year of college coursework.
   

• Shots fired as two vehicles sped through three Mass. towns, police say (wcvb.com) — Police are investigating after two vehicles sped from Brockton down Pearl Street through West Bridgewater into Easton, where a witness reported someone leaning out of a sedan and firing a handgun. Shell casings were recovered on Turnpike Street, but no victims have come forward, and Easton detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them.
   

• One dead, multiple injured in shooting at Taunton house party overnight (nbcboston.com) — A 22-year-old Brockton resident, Zirovick Depina, died after a shooting at a house party in Taunton where eight young adults were injured. Police say one other victim remains in serious but stable condition, while the rest suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and Taunton and state police continue to investigate what led to the overnight violence.
