Burlington’s Director of Economic Development, Melisa Tintocalis, said, “This funding offers a fun opportunity to promote local businesses, celebrate athleticism, and build community around one of the world’s most popular sports.”

As planning gets underway, the Burlington Economic Development Office is seeking potential local partners, including restaurants and other businesses that hold a FOX Sports commercial viewing license and may be interested in participating in future World Cup-related promotions, watch parties, or fan engagement activities. The Town is also interested in connecting with businesses that work with Anheuser-Busch distributors, as Anheuser-Busch is a World Cup sponsor and may offer opportunities for promotional collaboration, branded materials, or swag.
