TOPSFIELD, MA — A late-night traffic stop led to gun charges filed against two juveniles and an adult on the North Shore after Topsfield police said guns without serial numbers were discovered in the back seat of a sedan driving without a license plate light.
Police said the stop took place at about 3 a.m. on Monday morning in the area of Salem Road and McLeod Lane when a patrol saw a gray Nissan Altima driving without its license plate lights working.
Police said the officers saw what appeared to be a gun in the back seat of the car with an ensuing search leading to the arrest of two juveniles and one adult on gun charges, including possessing firearms without a license, possession of large capacity magazines and possession of defaced firearms without serial numbers.
