• Danvers To Host 9-11 25th Anniversary Ceremony (patch.com) — Danvers residents are invited to a 25th anniversary 9/11 remembrance ceremony hosted by the Fire Department on Sept. 11, featuring a march to the town's memorial and a reading of fallen first responders' names. Coffee and light refreshments start at 9 a.m., with the formal ceremony and truck roll-out beginning at 9:59 a.m., and all members of the public are welcome.
   

• Wasps will have 35 riders competing as mountain biking season ramps up (thevermontstandard.com) — A high school mountain biking team from Woodstock is gearing up for another strong season that will culminate in a league championship race at St. John's Prep Academy in Danvers on October 24. The Wasps will host two earlier races in Vermont and have 35 riders, many of whom trained across New England, aiming for top finishes when they come to Danvers.
