• MA Contractor Gets Prison Time For Home Improvement Scams, DA Says (patch.com) — A paving contractor has been sentenced to up to six years in prison for scamming homeowners in Dedham and nearby towns by taking money for driveway and home improvement work he never finished. Norfolk County prosecutors say 11 residents, including seniors, lost more than $15,000, and the contractor must also serve probation and repay victims after release. 
• 'I went blind overnight': Man details shocking side effect of GLP-1 (newsbreak.com) — Dedham resident Ed Gillen describes how his vision went from a tiny speck to total blindness in about two weeks after taking Ozempic, prompting him to overhaul his daily life and join ongoing litigation. While doctors haven't confirmed a definitive cause and the manufacturer disputes a link, he's urging neighbors to ask more questions about GLP-1 drug risks and support those facing sudden vision loss.
