Dracut Cuts Ribbon on First Senior Housing Built in 35-Years (insidelowell.com) — A new 56‑unit affordable senior housing complex, The Avenue at Greenmont, has officially opened at 144 Greenmont Avenue, marking Dracut’s first new senior housing in 35 years. The project, backed by town, state, and nonprofit partners, offers income‑restricted one‑bedroom apartments plus on‑site services coordinated with the Dracut Council on Aging to help seniors and residents with disabilities age in place.

Two treated for minor injuries after car plunges into Dracut's Beaver Brook (boston25news.com) — Overnight in Dracut, a car broke through a guardrail on Lakeview Avenue near Primrose Hill Road and plunged about 25 feet into Beaver Brook. Two 24‑year‑old women from Lowell and Newburyport escaped the partially submerged Subaru, were helped up the embankment by Dracut firefighters, and taken to Lowell General with minor injuries as police continue investigating.

Dracut and Tyngsborough Police Departments Team Up to Educate Boaters and Ensure Public Safety on Local Waters (dracutpolice.org) — Dracut and Tyngsborough police are stepping up patrols on Lake Mascuppic, the Merrimack River, and other local waters this summer using $25,000 in new state funding. Officers will focus on enforcing tougher statewide boating safety laws while emphasizing education so local boaters understand certification, life jacket, and safe‑operation rules before heading out.

5. Motorcyclist hospitalized with serious injuries after Route 111 crash in Exeter (seacoastonline.com) — A 38-year-old man from Dracut was seriously injured when his motorcycle left Route 111 in Exeter, New Hampshire, struck a large rock, and he was flown to Lahey Hospital with multi-system trauma. Police say speed and alcohol may have been factors, note he appeared to be riding without a helmet, and arrested two accompanying motorcyclists on DUI charges.
