State awards $2.7 million for Marstons Mills bog restoration (capeandislands.org) — Falmouth has secured $300,000 in state climate funding to design and permit new water mains in the Surf Drive area, a key step for protecting local infrastructure from flooding and sea-level rise. The grant is part of a broader $45 million Environment and Climate One Stop initiative that also funds cranberry bog restoration, shoreline projects, and stormwater work across the Cape.

3. Across the Cape, bonito, bluefish, stripers, and bluefin tuna action is ramping up around the Canal, Cape Cod Bay, and Nantucket Sound as the full moon sets up a promising weekend bite.

4. Where do Cape Cod's rescued sea turtles go after release? There's a tracker for that. (capecodtimes.com) — Cape Cod's rescued sea turtles, including several found on local beaches, can now be followed online as they migrate far beyond New England. The New England Aquarium's Sea Turtle Tracker maps each tagged turtle's route and behavior, helping scientists understand survival after rehabilitation and the threats these endangered animals face in changing ocean conditions.
