Beware, Framingham Drivers: Downtown Street Closures About To Begin

Street closures will soon start in downtown Framingham, brought on by upgrades at nearby rail tracks.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Repairs will soon come to a stretch of railroad tracks along Hollis Street, and the result will mean traffic detours, according to the city.

Rail company CSX will make upgrades to the tracks on Hollis Street (Route 126) and Waushakum Street, near Framingham Center, starting May 26, a city notice Tuesday said.

Hollis Street will be closed starting at 5 a.m. on May 26 and will remain off-limits to motorized vehicles on May 27. Following that work, repairs will begin at the Waushakum Street rail crossing on May 28-29.
