From Pollinator Pods To Upcycled Art, Framingham Students Will Showcase Climate Projects: Report
A public fair includes demonstrations of various approaches for addressing climate change.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — At a fair next week, Framingham public school students will show off some of the ways they’re learning to address climate change and take on other environmental challenges.
The city’s annual Cooler Communities Fair is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Walsh Middle School, 301 Brook St., according to the MetroWest Daily News.
Students from the school district’s Explorers and SAGE programs will highlight environmental projects such as pollinator pods, food waste reduction initiatives, composting efforts and upcycled art and clothing.

The event is part of Cooler Communities, a climate education initiative launched in 2020 by the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation to encourage student-centered climate advocacy in Massachusetts.
The fair is open to the public and free, with light refreshments available for attendees. The schools are inviting families, community members and local leaders to attend and support the young climate innovators.
