• Town Council takes almost 5 hours to approve FY 2027 budget, the CPA funded projects & capital round 2 (video) (franklinmatters.org) — Franklin’s Town Council approved the FY 2027 budget after an almost five-hour meeting, along with CPA-funded projects and a second round of capital spending using free cash. Councilors also learned Police Chief TJ Lynch plans to retire in November 2026. Residents can review the full agenda, supporting documents, and a replay of the meeting video online. 
• Franklin's Early Childhood Development Center Celebrates Creativity at Annual Pop-Art Night (franklinmatters.org) — Families from Franklin’s F.X. O’Regan Early Childhood Development Center recently filled the Franklin Public Library for Pop-Art Night, turning the building into a colorful gallery of student work. Kids and parents enjoyed viewing spring-themed art, then headed outside for music, bubbles, popsicles, and play. School leaders say the annual event showcases creativity while strengthening Franklin’s early-learning community connections.
