• August Brings Snow Cost Relief (town.news) — A new snow-removal liability reform in the Senate’s economic development bill could ease insurance pressures on contractors and municipalities across Massachusetts, including Franklin. DPW Director Robert Cantoreggi says high insurance costs have strained smaller plow operators and even forced the town to offer sign-on bonuses, so this change may help keep winter services more reliable.
