1. Gardner library to host 'Echoes of Nature' performance (thegardnernews.com) — Gardner residents can catch a free, all-ages “Echoes of Nature” multimedia performance at Levi Heywood Memorial Library on June 17 at 6 p.m. Artists Jess Martin and Kim Hoff tailored the show using visits to Crystal Lake and the Perley Loop Trail, aiming to deepen neighbors’ connection to Gardner’s natural spaces and to each other. 
2. National Grid to rebuild transmission line in Central Massachusetts (dailyenergyinsider.com) — Gardner residents will see National Grid rebuild a key transmission line that runs through the city and feeds the local substation, aiming to boost reliability and future capacity. The $470 million project spans multiple Central Massachusetts towns, replaces century-old equipment, and is scheduled to be completed by late 2030 with upgraded voltage capability.
3. Planning Board 6-9-26 (gardnermagazine.com) — Gardner’s Planning Board used its June 9 meeting to advance key development and housing decisions, including keeping original plans for 0 Emerald Street by allowing a withdrawal of a modification request. Members also reviewed the city’s Housing Production Plan and heard about a proposed open-space-style residential project on Pearl Street that could shape future neighborhood growth.
4. Disability Commission 6-10-26 (gardnermagazine.com) — Gardner’s Disability Commission is planning a summer hiatus while working toward hybrid meetings using Owl camera technology at the DPW conference room to better include residents with mobility challenges. At the June 10 meeting, members also discussed bus route accessibility, school committee seating, dog park improvements, National Night Out planning, and coordination on local building code complaints.
