• Obituary: Leon Purington (thelocalnews.news) — Longtime Hamilton resident and three-term selectman Leon Purington has died at age 100 after six decades of public service in town, including on the Hamilton Housing Authority and Hamilton-Wenham Rotary. Calling hours are set for Friday, Oct. 9 in Rowley, with a graveside service Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Town of Hamilton Cemetery, where neighbors and friends can pay their respects.
