Victim Identified In Saturday's Police Killing: Report
The Lexington man was shot after he threatened police with a knife, according to multiple sources.
LEXINGTON, MA — The armed man who was shot and killed by police in Lexington on Saturday has been identified as Colin Barthelemy, 26.
The Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office disclosed the name Tuesday, although the shooting remains under investigation and no additional details were released, WBTS-NBC 10 Boston reported.
Barthelemy brandished a large kitchen knife and rushed at officers who had responded to a 911 call, according to Patch and other news media.

The incident began around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, when a Mason Street resident told police his son had injured himself. Responders escorted two residents out of the house. Then Barthelemy, carrying the knife, ran at the police.
Officers tried to use non-lethal force in stopping Barthelemy, according to the DA. Ultimately a Wilmington police officer, in town to assist with Patriots Day events, shot him.
