Reading fundraiser will remember those lost on September 11, honor first responders past and present, and support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation

READING, MA — September 2026 — SadieLadySecrets.com and best-selling children’s author Stephanie Chiulli-Guillemette will host “Burgers for Benefits – United We Grill: Remembering 9/11’s Finest” on Wednesday, September 9, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Fuddruckers inside Jordan’s Furniture in Reading.

Held in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the family-friendly fundraiser will bring the community together to remember those who lost their lives, honor the first responders who courageously answered the call, recognize those who continue to serve today, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Remembering 9/11 and Honoring Our First Responders

For Stephanie and her husband and illustrator, Justin Guillemette, the anniversary also carries a deeply personal meaning.

“The 25th anniversary of September 11th is deeply personal to our family,” Chiulli-Guillemette said. “We lost someone very special to us that day, and seeing their name at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City is an emotion that is difficult to put into words. Twenty-five years may have passed, but time does not erase the people we lost, the memories we hold onto, or the impact they left behind. That is why the words ‘Never Forget’ mean so much to us.”

At the heart of United We Grill is a commitment to honoring the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics and other emergency personnel whose courage and sacrifice became defining symbols of September 11. Many made the ultimate sacrifice, while countless others participated in the rescue and recovery efforts that followed.

The event will also recognize the first responders who continue to serve today — the men and women who put on their uniforms every day, answer the call during emergencies, protect their communities and help others during some of life's most difficult moments.

By bringing families together, SadieLadySecrets.com hopes to provide an opportunity to say thank you while helping children understand the courage, compassion, dedication and sacrifice behind the uniform.

Supporting Tunnel to Towers

The evening will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, established in memory of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, who gave his life while helping others on September 11, 2001.

Today, the foundation continues his legacy by supporting America’s first responders, Gold Star families, military service members, veterans and their families.

“Supporting Tunnel to Towers allows us to turn the words ‘Never Forget’ into action,” Chiulli-Guillemette said. “We can remember the heroes we lost while also standing behind the first responders, military heroes and families who continue to sacrifice for all of us.”

Teaching the Next Generation

The fundraiser will also feature two children’s books written by Stephanie and illustrated by Justin that help introduce young readers to first responders.

“Sadie Lady Takes a Trip to the Police Station” teaches children about police officers, safety, courage, community and helping others, while “Sadie Lady Takes a Trip to the Fire Station” introduces children to firefighters, fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Through Sadie Lady’s adventures, the couple hopes children will understand that behind every uniform, badge and emergency vehicle are real people who have dedicated themselves to helping and protecting others.

Burgers, Books & Giving Back

Families can enjoy dinner along with face painting, Sadie Lady books, DIY kits, merchandise and family fun throughout the evening.

Guests who present the event flyer when ordering will help support the fundraiser, with Fuddruckers donating 20% of qualifying meal purchases associated with the event. In addition, 20% of proceeds from the SadieLadySecrets.com event will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

“Twenty-five years later, we want to make sure the next generation understands why we continue to say Never Forget,” Chiulli-Guillemette said. “We remember those we lost, honor those who answered the call, thank those who continue to serve, and give back to the heroes and families who have sacrificed so much.”
