• Marblehead student earns Topsfield Fair scholarship (marbleheadweeklynews.com) — A Lynnfield student, Gigi Tanner, is among 36 North Shore seniors receiving part of $157,000 in scholarships from the Essex Agricultural Society, which runs the Topsfield Fair. The awards support local graduates heading to college, including several from Essex Tech, and build on additional educational aid offered through various Topsfield Fair departments and farm organizations. 
• How your local high school golf match is scored may change in 2027 as MIAA eyes major modifications (bostonglobe.com subscription) — Lynnfield's new athletic director is helping shape a major overhaul of how high school golf matches will be scored in Massachusetts starting in 2027, shifting toward stroke play and a ratings-based qualifying system. The plan would cut sectional meets, expand divisional fields, and create an All-State championship featuring the state's top teams and individual golfers.
