• Mass. firefighters learn to cut through steel, stabilize buildings (photos) (masslive.com) — Mansfield firefighters joined colleagues from across Massachusetts in Bridgewater for intensive technical rescue training, learning how to cut through steel, stabilize collapsing buildings, and move heavy loads safely. The free, 80-hour state program aims to build more local specialists so departments like Mansfield's are better prepared for building collapses, car extractions, and other complex emergencies.
