Meet members of the Swampscott Arts Association at a public reception on Wednesday, April 22 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. to enjoy their exhibit of art in different media!

The exhibit showcases a diverse collection of two-dimensional works, ranging from traditional and experimental photography to paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and gouache.

Founded in the 1940s as a small gathering of local creators, the Swampscott Arts Association has grown into a vibrant community of 60 artists and dedicated patrons. The association hosts multiple exhibitions annually and is honored to present this latest collection of talent within the Carten Gallery.

This is the show that started it all. K POP DEMON HUNTERS Dance Party &amp; Sing-Along is our high-energy touring family experience that has been packing out dance floors around the country. It is a live DJ-led party built for kids, tweens, and parents to actually enjoy together — not just watch from the sidelines.
Expect huge sing-alongs, big energy, crowd interaction, K-pop dancers, and a full dance floor from the minute the music starts. Parents always come in thinking they’re just bringing the kids and then end up singing, dancing, and having the best time too. That’s the whole point. It’s No Sitter Necessary in real life.Note - There is also a 4pm show for the tween/teen crowd. Still ALL family friendly, but a little louder and a little more geared toward the older crowd.

Marblehead Arts Association’s “Variations 2026” exhibit has its Opening Reception on Sunday, April 19th from 2pm-5pm. This juried 8-week show displays a wide variety of inspiring artworks by artists from all over the US, including California, New Orleans, Chicago, New Jersey and Tennessee. 
As MAA Executive Director, Xhazzie Kindle expresses, “We’re delighted with the high level and variety of art we received to be juried for this year’s Variations exhibit in all three categories of Fine Art, Photography and 3D. We’re excited to highlight the talents of artists from across the country, and look forward to welcoming art lovers and visitors to enjoy this tremendous show from mid-April until mid-June.”
“Variations 2026” Opening Reception is Sunday, April 19th with complimentary refreshments, and awards will be presented for each of the three art categories. The exhibit runs from Saturday, April 18th through Saturday, June 13th 2026 at 8 Hooper St, Marblehead MA.
MAA galleries are open Wednesday to Sunday 12pm-5pm. Entrance to the exhibits and reception is free of charge. Donations gratefully received.

Marblehead Arts Association "Variations 2026" art exhibit Opening Reception

This Earth Day, support your local North Shore park! Join the <a href="https://www.ciabeachbluff.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Clifton Improvement Association</a> and the <a href="https://www.nsaac.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club</a> to explore the sky above Beach Bluff Park &amp; Preston Beach. This event is open to guests of all ages.
Here are some sights you might see:&nbsp;
<ul><li>Double star systems&nbsp;</li><li>Quadruple and larger star systems&nbsp;</li><li>Open clusters (collections of 100 to 1000 stars in our galaxy)&nbsp;</li><li>Globular clusters (collections of hundreds of thousands of stars that orbit our galaxy)&nbsp;</li><li>Nebula (exploded stars as well as star forming regions)&nbsp;</li></ul>
Event cost: $25 per carPre-registration preferred. Cash or Venmo will also be accepted on-site.

Your ticket supports Clifton Improvement Association's conservation and maintenance efforts for Beach Bluff Park and Preston Beach.

In celebration of Earth Day, join Road Scholar expert Nicole Flores for an introduction to this remote continent. Explore the secrets beneath its icy surface and its fascinating history. Meet the intrepid explorers who ventured into this harsh environment and the people who live and work there today. This lecture offers a vivid glimpse of what one might encounter when visiting this extraordinary frontier.
A viewing of the online lecture will be held in the Event Center at Abbot Public Library, followed by a discussion session.

Nicole Flores was born and raised in Chile. Her passion about her country and the region made her lead programs within South America since 1998, including several trips to Antarctica. She is a true believer in lifetime learning, finding in travelling the best source of inspiration to share her knowledge and keep learning. Flores is a great natural storyteller, mastering this skill by learning from the best in Chile.

Boston MedFlight is a nonprofit organization providing the highest level of critical care transport by air and ground to patients in need—regardless of their circumstances. For more than 40 years, since our founding in 1985, we have set the standard for clinical excellence, safety, and compassion in the air medical industry. Our tagline, “Your Life. Whether responding to an emergency scene or transferring a critically ill patient between hospitals, our team delivers seamless, patient-centered care during some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life. Each year, Boston MedFlight provides more than $7 million in free and unreimbursed care, ensuring no patient is ever turned away.
