This Tuesday April 28th you can make a difference by voting

Charlie Patsios has Swampscott on his mind. This isn't new since he's lived here for 35 years. Helping this town thrive is a passion. His simple and very basic idea: "Look at things that seem to be distinct and different and combine the solution to benefit more."

He asks "Why should senior citizens be asked to wait and wait, or those looking for affordable housing, cleaner beaches or improved financial solutions. Let's work tother to fix them all."

This idea of seeing problem-solving as an integrated process needs leadership. It needs singular focus enlightened by an ability to listen and be flexible. Charlie voted against the ultraviolet cleansing trial as a member of the Water and Sewer Advisory Committee, not because he didn't think it would work. He didn't see moving forward without a location, defining multiple costs, working together with Lynn and the funding addressed also.

"Test driving a car I'm not going to buy is a waste of time," Charlie states. Without knowing how this water treatment plant could be built and maintained, having a trial was not worth the expense.

Talk to Charlie and he knows how to answer the questions he raises about this and other projects. These solutions need leadership to implement. This means convincing people that what seems impossible can be accomplished. This is his goal for this coming election.

Over the years Charlie's been involved in various and diverse aspects of town government. His appointment by the governor to be on and later voted as chair of the Swampscott Housing Authority gave renewed focus to his belief that no segment of Swampscott's citizens ought to be left out.

Charlie is looking to use the most efficient methods to deal with complex problems where connections exist but are not obvious. Addressing the senior citizen's needs of the town by connecting them to those of expanded community space, enlarging the Senior Center, space for a pre-school and school district administrative offices is one example of how Charlie sees this interconnection.

There are problems. As well as solutions. These can come from an experienced and motivated person, with time and ability to contribute to the town of Swampscott. Charlie Patsios wants you to know that he is that person.
