Sperry’s Marlborough Summer Sr. Babe Ruth beat Westborough Senior Babe Ruth 4-2 on Thursday at Stevens Park.

Westborough Senior Babe Ruth were the first to get on the board in the first when Declan Dowd singled, scoring one run.

A double by MILLER TUCKER gave Marlborough Summer Sr. Babe the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first.

TUCKER earned the win for the Marlborough nine. The hurler allowed six hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking three. Aidan Cashman began the game for Westborough Senior Babe Ruth. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking five.

EVAN POLITIS set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Marlborough Summer Sr. Babe with two hits in four at bats. TUCKER led Sperry’s Sr. Babe with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day. POLITIS stole two bases. Marlborough ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game.
