What is your party affiliation?

Republican since 11/2024 but unenrolled previously

Where did you go to school?

Lexington HS, Bentley University Undergraduate degree BSc in Marketing, FW Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College MBA

Where are you originally from?

Previously lived in Lexington for most of my life, except 2 years in Portland, ME and 2 years working in Shelton, CT

What is your occupation?

Self-employed as Sales and Marketing Consultant/Market Intelligence

Have you previously or currently been elected to an office?

No, other than President of the Board of Governors of my Condo Association in Acton

Why are you running for this position?

Want to bring some conservative common-sense policies to the legislature

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is affordability___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Advocate for the audit (72% voted for it) since that will help us reduce waste, fraud, abuse and inefficient or ineffective spending and help lower taxes; help lower energy bills by advocating for more balance approach including more natural gas, perhaps SMR nuclear, and reducing fees related to supporting wind, solar and other options that are not as economically viable

What sets you apart from other candidates seeking this position?

Compassionate conservative versus a very progressive incumbent

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Lowering taxes via Audit and trying to reduce spending on illegal migrants, greater parental rights, working to make MA and my District more attractive to small and large businesses via tax incentives or rebates for creating jobs, encouraging more private-public partnerships

How does your experience prepare you for success in this position?

Business world focus forces one to make value-based determinations on investments made and I would be more bottom line focused rather than traditional "tax and spend" democrat

What else would you like voters to know about yourself?

I am not afraid to work hard nor reach across the aisle when it makes sense to help pass good legislation. Many people feel it is time for a change after 17 years of the incumbent and I am running to give people an option for common-sense, moderately conservative policies and perspectives

Additional points on affordability/housing:

Reducing permitting requirements and opposing stretch codes and perhaps pushing for more apartment and condo developments will help increase the supply of housing. No longer housing illegal immigrants will also help increase housing supply.

I am in favor of immigrants, my wife is from China, but legal immigration is the key.

At the State level I am not able to impact federal immigration policies, but I would favor programs that recognize long-term immigrants who are not criminals, pay taxes and support their communities, etc. and perhaps allowing them to "buy-in" to their citizenship over time granted they meet certain criteria, do not commit crimes including fraud, and are contributing to their communities in a positive manner.
