5 Injured As Car Careens Into Woods Off I-93 in Milton: Cops

MILTON, MA — A car careened off Interstate 93 in Milton, injuring five occupants, police said.

The car went off the road and into the woods shortly before 3 a.m., Massachusetts State Trooper Leah M. O'Connell said n an email.

"The vehicle went off the roadway into the wood line before coming to rest in a body of water," O'Connell said.

"Canton and Milton EMS also responded to the scene. MADOT assisted with lane closures," she said. "Five people were transported to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to severe."

The crash remains under investigation, O'Connell said.
