• Western Mass. residents sound off on pitch to send millions more gallons of Quabbin water east (wamc.org) — Natick is one of several communities currently seeking access to MWRA water, as state officials weigh a controversial proposal to draw 20 million more gallons daily from the Quabbin and Wachusett system. Western Mass. towns argue the plan is unfair while they face water bans and can't tap the reservoir themselves, and a state commission will decide after reviewing public feedback this fall.
