The incident reportedly began when he pulled out of his driveway on Brookline Street. Pinaels-Villar’s vehicle came close to his car, possibly making contact with its rear bumper. Both drivers stopped on Drumlin Road, where Pinaels-Villar blocked his vehicle and prevented him from leaving.
According to prosecutors, the victim got out of his car and approached Pinaels-Villar to obtain his driver information. Pinaels-Villar then stepped out of his vehicle, stabbed the man in the abdomen, and fled the scene.

Investigators used the vehicle’s license plate to locate Pinaels-Villar. Police told Patch he was taken into custody outside his home in Boston.
The defense has disputed that a collision occurred and said Pinaels-Villar acted in self-defense after the other driver approached him aggressively. A witness recorded the encounter on a cellphone, and Pinaels-Villar also recorded the incident.
The defendant was ordered to have no contact with the victim. He is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The incident remains under investigation by police.
