• 2 Killed In North Reading Crash; Man Charged With OUI, Police Say (patch.com) — North Reading residents are reeling after a late-night Route 28 crash left two people dead, including a child, and led to serious charges against a 21-year-old driver. Authorities say the victims' car burst into flames after being struck at a red light, and Andover schools are offering crisis support following the loss of an incoming third grader. 
• From Pasta to Supercars, Manning Students Explore Business in Italy (uml.edu) — A North Reading marketing student joined classmates from UMass Lowell's Manning School of Business for a three-week study program in Italy, touring factories like Barilla, Lamborghini and Ducati. The trip highlighted how different companies blend automation and human skills, giving students new perspectives on technology, culture and what really drives business performance.
