• Mayflower Meetinghouse project reveals oversight failures (plymouthindependent.org) — Plymouth officials have uncovered decades of oversight failures in Community Preservation grants, including missing deed restrictions on roughly $37.6 million in projects that were supposed to protect historic sites. The lapse now affects the controversial Mayflower Meetinghouse renovation, where permitted façade changes might not have been allowed if required protections were recorded, prompting a scramble to fix the system and reconsider future grants.
