State Inspector Finds Sheriff Blew Past Budget by $7.2M Last Year (provincetownindependent.org) — Barnstable County Sheriff Donna Buckley overspent her 2025 budget by $7.2 million, and some of that scrutiny touches services occasionally used by Provincetown police. State officials are now weighing reforms that could reshape how these regional public safety services are funded.
