Reading Issues Advice During Heat Wave

READING, MA — The town is issuing advice for residents amid dangerous heat and humidity.

The following is from the Town of Reading's Facebook page:

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning in effect from Wednesday July 1 through Saturday July 4 for Reading and the surrounding area.

The Reading Public Library and the Pleasant Street Center will be open regular hours and serve as cooling centers through Thursday July 2. Both buildings are closed on Friday and Saturday for the 4th of July Holidays.

The library is open 9am-9pm on Wednesday and 1pm-9pm on Thursday, and the Pleasant Street Center is open 8:30am to 4pm Wednesday and Thursday.
