The event offers free transportation with multiple Salem bus stops, extensive local parking options, and free backpacks for students, with later pickup available at the Family Welcome Center in Collins.

• Salem To Restore Historic City Hall Doors As Part Of Salem 400+ (patch.com) — Salem residents can expect a careful restoration of the historic wood entrance doors at City Hall as part of the city's Salem 400+ celebrations. The project, approved by local and state historical commissions and funded through preservation and capital funds, will keep the entrance open during business hours while the doors are repaired off-site and reinstalled by October.
