• Salem Back To School Fair Moves To Collins Middle School (patch.com) — Families in Salem can now head to Collins Middle School for the 2026 Back to School Fair, which was moved due to construction near the Sarah Parker Remond School. The event offers free transportation with multiple Salem bus stops, extensive local parking options, and free backpacks for students, with later pickup available at the Family Welcome Center in Collins.
   

• Salem Launches Relief Fund For Putnam Street Fire Victims (patch.com) — Salem officials have created a relief fund to support residents displaced by the recent Putnam Street fire, and are asking locals to share any available rental leads in the city. Community members can donate online, by mail, at Salem Five branches, or at City Hall, with all funds going directly to help victims secure housing and essentials.
   

• Salem To Restore Historic City Hall Doors As Part Of Salem 400+ (patch.com) — Salem residents can expect a careful restoration of the historic wood entrance doors at City Hall as part of the city's Salem 400+ celebrations. The project, approved by local and state historical commissions and funded through preservation and capital funds, will keep the entrance open during business hours while the doors are repaired off-site and reinstalled by October.
