SALEM, MA — A Salem man is celebrating one of two $500,000 instant ticket winners old on the North Shore in recent weeks.

Guy Babineau of Salem is the winner of a $500,000 top prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s "$500,000 Frenzy" instant ticket game.

Babineau received a one-time payment of $500,000 before taxes.

A Peabody resident also scratched a winner with a $500,000 ticket sold in that city over the past couple of weeks.

Babineau's winning ticket was purchased at White Dove Market & Grill, 59 Loring Avenue in Salem.

The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

This was the eighth top prize of $500,000 claimed for this game.
