One of the standout fish, topping 38 pounds, was landed by Sandwich resident Bob Lubold, underscoring how local anglers helped define this unforgettable day on the Ditch.
• Barbara Mae Ames (atholdailynews.com) — Sandwich residents are mourning the passing of 94-year-old Barbara Mae Ames, a longtime town resident deeply involved with the Sandwich Sirens, Sandwich Band Boosters, and local bingo circles. Visiting hours and funeral services will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Sandwich on April 19 and 20, with burial to follow in Bourne.
