• Sowams Heritage Area Plan Reaches Barrington Council (upriseri.com) — Seekonk is one of nine communities included in a proposed Sowams National Heritage Area now under federal review, following a public comment phase publicized by the town. The plan would not change local zoning or property rights but could open doors to federal funding for preservation, education, tourism, and climate-resilience projects if Congress ultimately approves it.
