 The Town of Sharon seeks a full-time (40 hours/week, M-F 7:00 a.m. &ndash; 3:00 p.m.) Auto Equipment Operator for the Department of Public Works&rsquo; Forestry &amp; Grounds Division.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Manual labor and operation of various equipment and vehicles for landscaping and maintenance of the Town&rsquo;s parks, trees, athletic fields, and grounds. Mandatory overtime required during snow removal from roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
Qualifications and Experience: &bull;	High School Diploma &bull;	Massachusetts Class B Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License &bull;	CORI check and mandatory drug testing upon hire Starting Salary Range: $55,048 &ndash; $56,178 with generous benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and retirement plans. The current salary range for the position extends to $68,395 in accord with the AFSCME contract.

The Town of Sharon is seeking a compassionate, customer-focused part-time (12 hours/week) Receptionist &amp; Program Aide to provide exceptional service to older adults and visitors at the Sharon Adult Center. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of community members while working in a welcoming, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
&middot;Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, participants, and callers.
&middot;Provide information and referrals regarding programs, services, transportation, and community resources.
&middot;Register participants for programs, activities, and special events.
&middot;Assist with transportation scheduling and related administrative tasks.
&middot;Maintain records, enter data, and perform general clerical duties.
&middot;Support program setup, special events, and volunteer activities.
&middot;Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Adult Center participants.
Work Schedule (12 hours/week):
&middot;Tuesday: 2:00 p.m. &ndash; 5:00 p.m.
&middot;Wednesday: 2:00 p.m. &ndash; 5:00 p.m.
&middot;Thursday: 3:00 p.m. &ndash; 6:00 p.m.
&middot;Friday: 9:30 a.m. &ndash; 12:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
&middot;High school diploma or equivalent required.
&middot;Previous administrative, receptionist, customer service, or office experience preferred.
&middot;Experience working with older adults, volunteers, or in a human services setting is a plus.
&middot;Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
&middot;Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.
&middot;Valid Massachusetts Driver's License required.
&middot;CORI check required.
Starting Salary Range:
$23.9871 - $24.4669 per hour with annual increases. This is a non-benefitted position.

<h3>Ever Wondered What It Takes to Learn to Fly? AeroVenture Opens Its Doors for National Aviation Day</h3>
MANSFIELD, Mass.&nbsp;— In celebration of National Aviation Day on August 19, AeroVenture will invite members of the community to Mansfield Municipal Airport for a free&nbsp;Learn to Fly seminar at 6:30 p.m.
The evening is designed for anyone who has ever looked up at an airplane and wondered what it would actually take to learn to fly. Attendees will get an inside look at how flight training works, what it takes to become an aviator, what to expect during the learning process, and how someone can take their first steps into general aviation.
Guests will also have an opportunity to learn more about aircraft, airport operations, flight training, and the experiences available to aspiring aviators at their local airport.
AeroVenture Founder and CEO George Charles Allen, a nationally recognized,&nbsp;award-winning flight instructor and aviation educator, will lead the program and answer attendees'&nbsp;questions.
“Many people are fascinated by aviation but may&nbsp;think learning to fly is something that is out of reach or difficult to begin,” Allen said. “National Aviation Day gives us a great opportunity to open the doors, welcome people to the airport, and show them what becoming an aviator can actually look like.”
The seminar is free and open to the public. Seats are limited. Registration&nbsp;required.
